Hand-to-face contact may cause pimples, skin irritation
Changing weather conditions, the warm weather in the morning and rain in the evening, may cause pimples and other skin irritations. This happens when pores on our skin are blocked by dirt.
Mga mikrobyo ito na naka-expose tayo,” Dr. Lyndon Lee Suy, the Department of Health’s spokesperson said.
Pimples usually appear on the face because of it's natural oil and it is more exposed to pollution. But aside from this, it is more prone to skin imperfections because people often touch their faces with their hands. When this happens. bacteria is transferred from the hands to the face.
“The least that you can do is to really wash your face bago ka matulog,” Suy said, explaining a simple way to prevent germ-causing pimples.
John Philip Tianco, M.D., a public health physician, adds that aside from pimples, contact with dirt and dust may also result to skin irritation.
That's why Tianco suggests hand washing or bathing using a soap with an antibacterial property to wash off the allergens.
