Manila - Travelling is among the most exciting activities that a family can engage in. Frequent travelling, however, may make us more vulnerable to various illnesses.

Experts say that travelling makes our bodies more susceptible to different types of bacteria, viruses, and parasites. The most common health threat, however, is the evolving strain of germs, which causes flu, pneumonia, and diarrhea.

Dr. Rey Salinel, an infectious disease expert, said both local and international travels can expose our bodies to viruses and parasites. He advised travelers to always bathe and wash their hands with antibacterial soap.

Apart from making us feel fresh and clean, an antibacterial soap may give us peace of mind as we travel. Nothing beats a worry-free feeling as one goes out of his comfort zone to explore the world.
